Ortho Headgear Products

Extraoral orthodontic appliances for growth modification and anchorage: facebows, cervical and high-pull headgear, reverse pull facemasks, chin caps, lip bumpers and neck pads. These appliances work with the patient's growth, so they are used mainly in children and adolescents.

Cervical and high-pull headgear restrain or distalize the upper molars and control the vertical dimension, depending on the direction of pull. Reverse pull facemasks bring the maxilla forward in Class III cases with maxillary deficiency, and work best when treatment starts early.

Results depend on wear time more than anything else. Comfortable padding, correct sizing and a safety release on the neck strap help patients keep to the prescribed hours.
