High-pull & Chip Caps

High-pull headgear and chin caps for vertical control and growth modification in orthodontic treatment. They apply extraoral force in an upward direction, which helps manage patients with a long lower face height or a tendency toward open bite.

High-pull headgear connects to a facebow and directs force above the center of resistance of the molars, restraining their vertical and forward growth. Chin caps are used in some Class III cases to redirect mandibular growth.

Results depend on wear time, so comfortable, adjustable straps and padding help patients keep to the prescribed hours.
