Bonding Systems

Dental bonding systems for adhering composite and resin cements to enamel and dentin, including total-etch, self-etch and universal adhesives, silane primers and conditioners. A reliable bond is what makes a composite restoration last and prevents post-operative sensitivity.

Total-etch systems give the strongest bond to enamel. Self-etch systems are simpler and reduce sensitivity on dentin. Universal adhesives can be used with either technique, which makes them the most versatile choice for daily work.

Silane primers are used on porcelain and glass ceramics before bonding. Follow the application and drying times closely, since most bonding failures come from technique rather than the material.
