3M Scotchbond Universal Plus Adhesive Bonding is a versatile adhesive for all bonding and curing techniques. It features dentin-like radiopacity, allowing for accurate X-ray readings which helps to avoid misdiagnosis and invasive overtreatment. With its high bond strength, it offers the same high bond strength to caries-affected dentin as to healthy dentin.
3M Scotchbond is an adhesive that can be used on a variety of materials including enamel, dentin, metal, and porcelain. It has been designed to make application easy with no need for primers, silanes, or activators. Furthermore, it has proven to provide strong bond strength on dentin without causing post-operative sensitivity.
Direct indications:
- Bonding for all methacrylate-based light-, dual-, and self-cure composite and compomer filling materials
- Root surface desensitization
- Bonding of methacrylate-based fissure sealants
- Protective varnish for glass ionomer fillings
- Repair of composite and compomer fillings
- Sealing of cavities before placement of amalgam

Indirect Indications:
- Cementation of indirect restorations in combination with 3M RelyX Universal Resin Cement and other resin cement (follow applicable Instructions for Use)
- Bonding for all methacrylate-based light-, self-, and dual-cure core build-up materials and cement
- Cementation of veneers when combined with 3M RelyX Veneer Cement
- Intraoral repair of composite restorations, porcelain fused to metal, and all-ceramic restorations without extra primer
- Sealing of cavities and preparation of tooth stumps before temporary cementation of indirect restorations
