Surgical Carbide Burs

Tungsten carbide surgical burs for oral surgery, including Lindemann, Barracuda and transmetal designs. Used for osteotomy, bone contouring, tooth sectioning and removing bone around impacted teeth, with cutting edges that stay sharp through repeated use.

Lindemann burs have side cutting flutes that make a clean, fast cut in bone. Transmetal burs cut through metal crowns and bridges, and round burs are used for bone removal and shaping.

Use surgical length burs with plenty of sterile irrigation to protect the bone from heat. Replace burs as soon as cutting slows, since a dull bur generates more heat and takes longer.
