Materials for vital pulp therapy, including pulpotomy and pulp capping preparations for primary and young permanent teeth. They help keep the remaining pulp healthy so the tooth can continue to develop.

In a pulpotomy the inflamed coronal pulp is removed and the radicular pulp is covered with a medicament. Bioceramic materials are now widely preferred for their sealing and healing properties.

Control bleeding before placing the material, and seal the tooth with a well fitting restoration or crown.
