Gate Drills

Mani Gates drills for enlarging the coronal part of the root canal. They create straight line access, which improves visibility and lets files and irrigant reach further with less stress.

Use Gates drills only in the straight coronal third, at low speed and without forcing. The safety design means the drill breaks near the shank if it binds, so it can be retrieved easily.

Work from smaller to larger sizes and avoid over-enlarging, especially on the inner wall of curved roots.
