Equipment for root canal obturation and the final cleaning steps before it, including devices for irrigant activation. A clean, well dried canal and a dense, three dimensional fill are what seal the root for the long term.

Activating the final irrigant helps remove debris and smear layer from lateral canals before filling. Warm obturation techniques then allow gutta percha to flow into irregularities that a single cold cone leaves open.

Dry the canal with paper points, fit the master cone to length, and confirm the fill with a radiograph.
