DSI ApexPaste is a premixed paste used for temporary root canal filling, primarily composed of calcium hydroxide and iodoform. It boasts excellent radiopacity and antibacterial properties, making it suitable for various endodontic procedures such as apexification, treating periodontic endo trauma, pulp regeneration, and pulpitis in permanent or underdeveloped teeth.
The high concentration of iodoform ensures long-lasting antibacterial effects and aids in pulp regeneration and secondary dentin formation. The paste is composed of iodoform (40.4%), calcium hydroxide (30.3%), and silicone (22.4%), with proven efficacy in pulpectomy treatments for primary teeth. It can be extruded into furcal or apical areas and is either diffused away or partially resorbed by macrophages.
Packaged in a convenient 3g syringe with Luer-slip needle tips, DSI ApexPaste offers easy delivery into the canal.
