Orthodontic Wire Cutters

Orthodontic cutters for every wire in the practice: ligature cutters, pin and ligature cutters, distal end cutters, hard wire cutters and Dentaurum mini distal end cutters for tight posterior access. Sharp, well aligned blades leave a clean wire end that is safe for the patient.

Each cutter is rated for a maximum wire size and hardness. Using a ligature cutter on stainless steel or TMA archwires damages the blades, and that damage cannot be repaired. Safety hold distal end cutters grip the cut piece so it does not fall into the mouth.

Tungsten carbide inserts keep their edge longer than plain steel. Clean and dry cutters before sterilizing, and oil the joint regularly to keep the action smooth.
