Diamond Burs

Diamond burs for cavity preparation, crown preparation, enamel shaping and finishing, in the common ISO shapes and grits. Shapes include round, pear, flame, torpedo, bullet and cylinder, for friction grip high speed handpieces.

Grit is shown by the colored ring on the shank. Coarse grits remove tooth structure quickly during gross reduction, while fine and extra fine grits smooth the preparation and refine the margins before impression. Working in a sequence gives cleaner results than relying on a single bur.

Use burs with plenty of water spray to protect the pulp from heat, and replace them once cutting slows. A worn diamond generates more heat and takes longer to do the same work.
