Root canal sealers from DSI and DIP, in zinc oxide eugenol, resin-based automix and silver formulations. The sealer fills the space between the gutta percha and the canal wall and is what actually seals the canal after obturation.

Resin-based sealers flow well and set reliably with low solubility. Zinc oxide eugenol sealers are familiar and economical. Automix syringes deliver a consistent mix with less waste.

Dry the canal with paper points before obturation, coat the walls evenly and avoid pushing sealer beyond the apex.
