What platform options are available — NP and RP — and how do I choose?

DIP Dental M1.6 multi-unit abutments are available in two platforms: Narrow Platform (NP) Ø3.5mm — designed for narrow-diameter Nobel Active® implants and anterior sites with limited bone width, and Regular Platform (RP) Ø4.3–5.0mm — suited for standard and posterior Nobel Active® implants. Platform selection is determined by the diameter of the Nobel Active® implant that was placed. Confirm the implant diameter from the surgical record or patient documentation before ordering.

Are DIP Dental Nobel Active® multi-unit abutments identical to the original?

Yes — same conical connection geometry, machined to identical tolerances. One important distinction: while Nobel Biocare's original multi-unit abutment uses an M1.4 prosthetic screw, DIP Dental's version upgrades to an M1.6 screw — a thicker, stronger thread that provides greater mechanical resistance to screw fracture and loosening under the high forces typical of full-arch rehabilitations. Same connection, stronger screw.

What angle options are available and when should I use each?

DIP Dental M1.6 multi-unit abutments are available in three angulations: straight (0°) for implants placed in a favorable axial position, 17° for mild implant divergence, and 30° for significantly angulated implants. The angulated options redirect the screw access channel to achieve a common prosthetic path of insertion — essential for passive full-arch framework seating in All-on-4 and All-on-6 cases. Both angulations are available in NP and RP platforms.
