DSI EDTA Solution at 17% is a chemical solution that specializes in providing a clean environment and preparing root canals for further instrumentation by removing the smear layer. It also assists in eliminating debris and rinsing. DSI EDTA solution has been specially formulated with surface-active compounds to create a foaming effect that helps to penetrate quickly into deep dental pulp, canals, and micro-canals as well as lower the surface tension.

EDTA 17% Solution is specially prepared with a reduced pH value, providing the best results. This product removes calcium deposits that line the sides of canals, making it simpler to use files and reamers for enlargement and shaping.

Indications:

Root canal treatment - used as an irrigant during root canal procedures. Its chelating properties help remove the smear layer
Endodontic retreatment - when a previous root canal treatment has failed, EDTA 17% solution can be used to help remove existing root canal filling materials
Cleaning and shaping of root canals - can be used with sodium hypochlorite during the cleaning and shaping phase of root canal treatment. The combination of these two solutions helps dissolve organic matter and remove the smear layer, preparing the root canal for obturation.
Removal of calcium deposits - can be used to remove calcium deposits from the tooth surface, particularly in procedures such as scaling and root planing for periodontal therapy
