DSI Sponge Plus is manufactured from highly purified first-extract grade collagen highly biocompatible material. It is ready-to-use collagen freeze-dried sponges with a mix of hemostatic & antiseptic components including iodoform, eugenol, thymol, and lidocaine.
Because DSI Sponge Plus contains iodoform it can work as an antiseptic sponge, that allocates iodine when getting in contact with blood and tissues. It provides antimicrobial action, has astringent and anti-inflammatory properties, and enables the formation of granulation tissue. Used for the treatment and prevention of inflammatory complications in surgical dentistry and periodontics.
